In 2018, we joined Chester Zoo’s Sustainable Palm Oil (SPO) Communities, in a bid to spread the word about the use of sustainable palm oil. Since becoming an SPO Champion, we’ve replaced consumables and cleaning products within our business containing Palm Oil with those containing Sustainable Palm Oil and set out to educate our staff and partners about the cause.
Fast forward to July 2024, we attended Chester Zoo’s Sustainable Palm Oil engagement day – a morning of education, reflection and networking with other local businesses who are part of the SPO Community or hoping to join.

“Attending the Sustainable Palm Oil engagement day at Chester Zoo profoundly enhanced my understanding of the issues around palm oil. Rather than avoiding palm oil products altogether, I learned that we can make a better environmental impact by supporting sustainable practices. This knowledge empowers us not only as a company but personally to reduce our carbon footprint both locally and globally.
